Hello! Happy Thursday!
It’s that day of the week again. Yup! I have another wedding planning tip just for you! Who loves ya??
Have you noticed a certain something in the air lately? Yes! It’s engagement/proposal season! Engagement season is defined as the period between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day. Research shows that over 50 percent of couples get engaged during this period but what does this have to do with you if you’re already engaged? A lot actually.
During engagement season, wedding vendors receive a lot of inquiries and also book a lot of clients too. In fact, I think engagement season has started a bit early this year because today I have received 3 calls from brides inquiring about my services and, because my services are so personalized and I like to build a relationship which each of my clients, I only take 12 weddings per year. I know of other vendors who create limits on how many clients they take on each year too because their focus is on providing quality to each of their clients.
January through March is also a big bridal show period and many vendors will book clients from bridal shows as well. In fact, I’m participating in my very first Bridal show in January. I’m looking forward to it!
So do you have a vendor you have been eyeing for a while but haven’t met yet or booked? Well if you wait any longer, they may not be available for your wedding date. Especially if you’re wedding is during peak wedding season, which is April through August as well as October.
So I urge you to start meeting with vendors and booking them soon before another bride scoops up your dream vendor.
